Problem solved!

In the end - after reinstalling Domino and traveler - I found out what the problem was.

In the server document on the tab Internet Protocols \ HTTP the setting "Bind to host name" was set to "Enabled". I do have multple IP addresses on the server, zo I used this setting to avoid the Domino server listening on the other addresses. Appartently this was causing problems for Traveler, because now I've set it to "Disabled" Traveler works!

I still don't understand why, because this setting was always set to Enabled. But I am very happy to have Traveler working again.
